Tireless worker, Broadway afficionado and a true wit

Doug was a dedicated staffer at APM for many years, where he was our administrative director. A lover of music, we were often “treated” to Broadway tunes blasting out of his office. Doug was equally enthusiastic about films; he rarely missed a movie opening and was a frequent viewer of Turner Classic movies. Well-known for his wry sense of humor, Doug often made us smile when we needed it most. In fact, I am smiling right now, just thinking of him. I will never forget his courage and dignity in fighting AIDS.
He is still greatly missed in this office. Not a day goes by that I do not think of Doug and wish that he were still with us.
