business & organizational donors

Along with federal and state grants, APM gets a large portion of its funding from businesses and organizations, many of whom have supported us for years. On this page, we will regularly tell you about them. Good will tends to have a boomerang effect, so we encourage you to patronize their businesses and let them know that you appreciate their support of our efforts.

What can we say about our friends at Avalon International Breads? Besides their incredible
Avalon Breadcrusty breads and tantalizing pastries, we have been impressed with their soft and sentimental hearts. Co-owners Jackie Victor and Ann Perrault have helped to support our efforts for years. Last February, they even created a special promotion for us, “Share The Love,” donating a portion of all their sales that month to APM. At Avalon, the focus is on organic products, locally grown ingredients and dedication to the community. We encourage you to visit them in Midtown. Be sure to take home a loaf of Caraway Rye organic and to sample our personal favorites, Avalon’s Amazing Amazon Brownie and the sea salt chocolate chip cookies. And don’t forget to try their incredible savories. Avalon’s tagline is, “Eat Well. Do Good.” We know they mean it on both counts. Thanks, Avalon!

Our friends at the Baker Showroom in the Michigan Design Center in Troy not only have great style, they have impeccable taste in charitable organizations. Manager Maureen Fahlbush has Barker Showroomgraciously donated the use oftheir facilities for the past two years for our annual Summer Solstice fundraising event. In June, we danced amongst the gorgeous contemporary furnishings. Sipped wine in traditional furnishings. And enjoyed the classic glamour throughout the showroom. Baker offers timeless furnishings created to transcend the trends, with a focus on design, materials, craftsmanship, and finish. We encourage you to stop by the showroom, and say hello to Maureen and her staff. They can help you choose furnishings for your space, and it’s sure to look amazing. Thanks, Baker Showroom. You’re beautiful inside and out.
